insane!

hey here's the imelda video i was telling you about last night where she shows a BBC reporter some of her paintings (WOW) and a peak into marcos's 987 BILLION DOLLARS in some foreign bank somewhere...



insane!!!

inspired

it started out with a piece i needed to finish for class, to make it in time for "pit-firing". so i brought home some clay to work on over the weekend, and set up a little "studio" in our terrace. its quite the perfect place to work (especially in this rainy weather!) - its very quiet, has lots of cool fresh air, and tons of giant pots around for inspiration. haha. luc loves to sit with me there too :)



there was a lot of clay left after making my "tree-huggers" piece - so i decided to practice making tiny hand-built vases. i finished three today :) i kinda just decided the shapes as i went along. i think i have enough clay to make one more tomorrow :)

mod nature

hong kong island has one of my most favorite skylines...

i think it's the backdrop of the mountains, the foreground of water...

and the impeccable architecture (my fave being i.m. pei's hsbc)

in the same way, w's design is kinda like the skyline: natural with modern twists...

super cool hallway to our hotel room...

it has this grey-and-white library theme... (with matching lounge music)...

they even periodically sanitize mall door handles, train poles, etc...
