that and Lady M's famous mille crepe... *die*

and while i'm at it, had an incredible cuban meal in celeb-fave cafe habana...

... where i had, among others, their famous and mega yummy corn (and yes of course, i thought of you ;) )

so between date nights with the hub (photo below was in an austro-german dig we checked out)...

...and binge fests with the girls (here's some of what cia-grad crix whipped up when we were in NJ)...

i'm having a super time, and so is my tummy :)

white truffle balsamic cream. (got it from terry's).

i've been dreaming of this since the first time i tasted it...

i sea salt

yesterday, i had my last piece of chocolate covered dark caramel with sea salt. :(

i received a small box of this from friends half way around the world... what a treat.

i am now officially addicted to chocolate and/or caramel + sea salt.

the best combo, of course, is chocolate macaron + sea salt, which i had once in lusso.

die, die, die.

all chocolates should be sprinkled with sea salt, me thinks.

weighty issues

waaaah! i'm at my heaviest ever! wuh happened?

is it because i haven't exercised in almost half a year (oopsies)?

short-term-wise, i blame it on these:

the BEST cheese crackers EVERRRRRR.

i'd make you taste 'em but they're gone.

if you know of someone going to paris, or nyc, or tokyo... have them buy this for you.

think soft cheddar bits wrapped in ultra thin crepes.

dulce gatas

damn this tub!  it's been in the way of my diet for the beach.

it's kat-kat's dulce gatas from silay, negros.  i can only describe it as a tub full of sweet and chunky pastillas-yema-like gunk. 

you eat it with a spoon... i can imagine it goes well with ice cream...

berry berry!

hi sis!!!!  happy new year!!!!!!!!  i'm back!

wow, we've both been gone quite long, and in two velly different worlds.  i have a slue of stuffs to show you... but let me start of with the last photo i took...

didja get to eat berries in the mountains?  i know you love 'em! 

but anyway, i brought these home!  can't get any sweeter than japanese strawberries...  they're HUGE and SWEEEET.  

they actually come in 2 kinds -- "hard" or "soft".  i prefer the softer one (cheaper too!  approx P300 per packet).  so if you want some, come over before i finish them all!

couldn't get enough of them... this one i bought in a mini mart... it looks like a small siopao -- it's actually mochi wrapping with sponge cake + cream + strawberry.  their version of the shortcake!  mmm!

then this strawberry tart in a cafe...

these i ate already....

dinner

speaking of mochi + yogurt... guess what i had for dinner?

the only time i get to go back to my odd non-eating habits is when twinpophub is away.

i decided to go get frozen yogurt for dinner.

trekked to lulu belle in rockwell -- love the name!  love the store!  (thanks the heart2heart for the photo).

lo and behold, i realized mochi was one of the toppings they offered!

so instead of my usual banana + granola topping, i had banana + mochi.  mmm mmm good.

yun lang...

p.s. please come home na, i'm awfully lonely with twinpophub and you away.

danggit salad

had this super yummy danggit salad in Fish Out of Water in Greenbelt 5.

the serving's big (enough for a heavy meal, or for sharing)... and tasty too -- with danggit bits, nori strips & honey mustard dressing.  

i wanna go back and try the other dishes -- like the steamed scallops w/ chilled uni (!!!) and shrimp & lobster taquitos.
