before Christmas was about the obligatory shopping,

i warmly remember how it was back in the day...

with our cute plush ornaments (do we still have those???)

our personalized felt stockings...

our fresh pine tree...

'Tis the season to be jolly!!! How can it not be, when I finally had some of the BEST pili squares.  think food for the gods but better... 

 

these are specially made by the kitchen of emma lacson in bacolod (silay, actually).

then i met santa... notice, he's actually white!  

even better, he gave me a gift!

here it is (it's a book)... i love it!

then, remember how you said it's been a bit somber this christmas?  have to agree because the lights on the street lamps aren't as festive. 

then, i saw anson's (beside makati shangri-la)... the whole building lights up and changes color.

kinda cool, kinda cheesy.

about town

oooh looks cool!

i've been hoppin around town too...

saw some cool stuff...

like the rustan's home floor in makati that was so christmasy!!!

i got so nostalgic... remembered those days when we'd drive to cubao COD to check out those moving figurines on the building.

i looked it up and just realized that the COD had moved to greenhills.  didja know that COD stands for Christmas On Display???  yup, me neither.

here's a short home vid of the COD (kinda corny) -- on its 75th year celebrated last year!!!

i also saw this walk in front of sm mall of asia when i went to a store blessing last friday...  cool right?  

lastly, i dropped by premium wine exchange on pasong tamo for the first time.  apparently, you can rent the place (for 3k for the first 4 hours) for a private dinner.  isn't it cool?  

i was lucky enough to catch this -- it was a set up for a dinner catered by cibo... flowers by fiori too.
