the fight continues...

we've put a stop to our volunteer efforts while relief centers are still flooded with student volunteers...

so for now, it's work-work-work to cover for our coming volunteer hours...

we shall resume when school starts.  join?

as we desperately try to get the relief goods packed and delivered, i'm also trying to think of ways to help the communities when the immediate needs are met, and rebuilding begins.

school rebuilding, school resupplying, furniture making, home repair, trash controlling,... the list is endless.

thinking of starting up misis linis in affected communities as a way for them to have a sustained source of income.

rounding up community representatives (got 3 already) to plan and set up starting kits for the communities...  microfinancing, training, etc... lots to do.

(to our many (5?) readers, send me a message if you're interested in representing your adopted community).

misis linis!

a proud moment for me...

piloting misis linis...

teaching 4 moms (of victims of human trafficking) how to make and sell the soap and make money from it...

still waiting for feedback on how they sold... but it's a start nonetheless!

the future looks bright!  whoopeee!

misis linis still...

thanks for the inputs!  here's what i came up with :)  (not so clear lang...)

more of misis linis

i finally visited the first distribution point of misis linis in malvar, batangas.

it's one of 23 (and quickly growing) hapinoy stores -- wow what a project!

hapinoy is a social enterprise that ultimately provides micro-financing + livelihood to women.

they provide the start-up money, store, computer + systems, suppliers + pre-negotiated prices.

i spoke to some of the people there regarding misis linis -- got feedback, etc.  anyway, since the discussion, i've come up with this new logo which i'll run by you first, and then them.

take a pick part2

on a lighter note,

since i'm currently on multiple projects, need your help again.

remember i mentioned doing a cheaper geared-for-sari-sari-stores messy bessy line?

well, here are our first studies for the logo.  i know we agreed on running these by the potential customers too.  but anyways, wanted to hear your comments first...
