the ruins

since it was too rainy for golf, twinpophost decided to take us to the newly opened "the ruins" in talisay, just outside of bacolod.

quite cool dontchatink?  it was the pre-war home of don mariano ledesma lacson (?).

the americans burnt it down during the second world war so that the japanese won't be able to use it as headquarters... the structural foundation though remained intact.

you can still see the original tiles and other architectural details.  makes you wonder how life was like there during the feudal days.

a well outside... (the ringu?)

they've put up a small restaurant for people to hang out in... the food wasn't bad... although the place isn't too conducive to rain...

i wish they could develop the place more.  the place has so much potential!

yun lang :)
