twinpop-y and i went to a "cool dive" (love her term - haha!) last night. it was "wednesday nights at green papaya" - at their new spot in kamuning....

we arrived a bit late and just caught the tail end of Veejay Villafranca's talk about his photojournalistic work on BASECO (pristine white sand property that was supposed to be turned into a resort but ended up a slum area, a natural juxtaposition ikanga). was really intrigued by it so i checked out his
site when i got home... very moving photos! loved his other work too.
after that and a beer break, there was a discusssion on deck art- quite interesting as a lot of my friends are now into skateboards and longboards.
loved this alien ice cream one...
then there was a video art presentation - which made me realize i don't really know what video art is... i don't really quite "get" most of the videos. hehe.
