tailrunners dog run 2010

after our relatively late night last night, i got up at 3:45 with just less than 2 hours of sleep to get luc to the dogrun at MOA on time today :) he was sooo excited that we were leaving the house, not knowing where we were really going... got even more excited when we picked up twinpopbro, and was just overwhelmed with the 300 doggies at the run!

while waiting, he sniffed out other dogs passing by... here's another male lhasa with dyed ears and tail (hihi)...


there were lots of other cuties around like this giant maltese/lhasa or something.... the owner has no idea what it is!

like this dog too - which was the dog that suddenly took luc by the neck and lifted him! i thought he was gonna bite his head off! :( sniff!!! :( luc is fine though and didn't seem shaken about it. (this dog won one of the race caterogies by the way. ugh!)


on the otherside, some just kinda sat around looking cute - this shih-tzu looked so tired, but it didn't even attempt to walk or run- haha!

luc's new "friend" for the day was natasha, suzette's pretty golden retriever who ran the 1.5k with us :)

bagsit river trek

.... or should i call it luc's (mis)adventure #3? here's why i wasn't at our merienda cena yesterday.....

spent most of good friday travelling and trekking along the river with luc...



i had to carry him across some of the deep parts of the river


but it was so hot, he would actually sometimes just stop and sit in the middle of the shallow parts - hehe:)


he bravely walked into the river pools to "swim" with the rest of us.



he was doing well on his own for the most part, but we sort of got lost along the way, and took a much longer route.... the heat and the hot river stones and boulders bruised his paws and gave him a blister :(




he could hardly walk by the time we got to the campsite :(

i had to put him inside a makeshift sling on the trek back the next morning :(


best part of the trip? the clean, clear pools of blue and green along Bagsit - one of the most beautiful rivers i've seen here :)

luc's doing much better btw, walking around the house already (though still walking a bit funny). hope he'll still want to come along on our next trip :) hehe :)

twinpopbro met this little female lhasa on one of luc's walks. wiggy :) she lives down our street! just a few houses down at #24 :)


today i took luc there to meet her so they could mate. and they did! ang galing ni luc! haha :) here they are stuck together....


still stuck together but tired and thirsty....


awww....


luc was soooo tired after - when we passed a cat on the walk back home, he didn't even have the energy to bark or chase after it! aw :) and he lay on the garage floor as soon as we entered the gates. had to carry him up to the room. hee hee :)

though i'm a little late, i couldn't let the day pass without greeting my little luc a happy birthday! thanks for giving him to me 5 years ago (they're getting old na *sniff* ). my life has never been the same... aww....what a bundle of joy!
