yup that's us painting our office floor... and yes we're in our li'l office-factory-warehouse-now-school-too. woohoo!

here's a snippet of our upcoming classroom. first day of school is on monday :)

of course, all our things have to go somewhere... so imagine the mess. (spot the assistant!)

speaking of cool digs, missed you at twinpopfriend's office party :)

believe it or not, this IS the office...

it's an ad agency... so the vibe is so creative...

they have a no-owned-work-stations-&-work-from-any-spot-you-want arrangement...

and the place is so swanky you'd really think it's a cool lounge!

to top it all off, they have a 'zen' room for anyone to destress...

now doesn't that office make every other office seem so uncool?

perhaps not as cool, but just in time, i've finally finished up our home office with the new 'recycled wood' shelves...

i thought the red plaid chair would match the look... (and flower too hihi)

painted the walls a dark charcoal...

and my fire engine red drawers fit in quite well too, i think :)

will install a dvd player, so we can hang here... come over soon :)

not to be outdone (hehe), spruced up our office with this... a parol made of rubber from rubber slippers.

it was actually given by one of the messy bessitas... awww *touched*.

yesterday, i was in a corp-y office that was as corpy as corpy could get.

it really really felt so stiff, and unproductive, and claustrophobic.

made me appreciate our new dusty, hodge-podge office even more :)

divine design

this is the side of a clothes display module in a store in osaka.  love the non-lamp-post and the shade-in-wall...

speaking of design, i just visited the SM offices yesterday and i loved them!

so spacious, airy, simple and well & naturally lit.  i wanted to take photos but there were too many cctvs inside.

anyway, when i DO have my own center for h.ou.s.e. project, i'd like it to look something like that.

it almost reminds me of the pixar office -- another DREAM office... almost, but of course not quite...

office rehab

YES please lend that to me after :)  My niece Danni (who's 11) highly recommends it.  i'm in the mood for light reading.

many of our books have actually found a new (temporary) home.

since lately, i've transformed our bookshelf into a messy Messy Bessy shelf, 

we've decided to park some of our books in Ngow's new office library.  

how cool is it that they have one?

after checking out the new library, i trekked upstairs to continue my toughest and longest-running design project yet: his office! 

given virtually zero budget and a picky (!) client, it's tough!

one of the first things i did was salvage old starbucks club chairs and reupholster them with uber funky fabrics.

then i added small touches, like this cute tassle i attached to his projector screen.  i don't think anyone notices it.  hee hee.

then i tried to neaten up his shelves (which are actually their old kamagong chapel benches) thanks to domesticity boxes.
