suzette came up with this great idea for a "food tour" for foreigners - to give them a little history and a little taste of Filipino cuisine. i went to the dry run at La Cocina de Tita Moning yesterday and enjoyed myself.
here's some of what we sampled....
tanglad iced tea, buko juice, pandan water
sinigang
adobo, dinuguan at puto, karekare
leche flan, saba and carabao cheese, bico and hot chocolate
food looked great! yum!
and the house looked great too, i couldn't help but post photos :)
my favorite piece in the house - FR Hidalgo's "La Inocencia" (Paris, 1901) - a portrait, they say, of his mistress
