
no, i haven't seen it, but i watched a nat geo documentary on it -- hee hee.
it's the only super-high mountain along the equator -- so combine the tropical weather and the high peaks and you can only imagine how the vegetation there looks!

one of the climbers described a part of the mountain as walking into 'hobbitland'.

imagine witnessing the land go from lifeless desert to lush to lifeless snow all in one go.


i think you should put this mountain on your list too!
but i know you've seen pretty cool stuff here -- like glow-in-the-dark moss, or an all-white forestscape. show me! show me!

yes! a definite must-see! :) and yes we do have a lot of very interesting flaura in our mountains too... unfortunately they're hard to capture in photos..
