paper dolls

as the film 'for the first time' is making a killing, it makes me wonder, why?

people say it's laughable.  but my girls in my teeny tiny factory totally loved it.

so are we out of touch with the pulse of the nation?  or do we just generally have bad taste?

it also got me thinking of this award-winning film i saw about filipinos that made waves abroad but not here. i'm talking about paper dolls.  

how come we never hear about these films here?

it's a documentary made by an israeli, about a group of OFWs who are caregivers by day and tranny performers by night -- in israel!  (the hub chanced upon the dvd in hk and bought it.)

i found it so heartwarming and moving.  i think every filipino should watch this... and maybe not so much 'for the first time'...  but that's just me.

the israeli who made this film even came out on 'private conversations with boy abunda' after hearing that one of the stars of the film died... but anyway...
